Greetings! My name is Emily Wu, and I am a software engineer in New York, New York.
Although I enjoyed the challenging and fast-paced nature of being a management consultant, I've always been passionate about programming.
In Jan 2020, I enrolled in App Academy (a 16-week intensive full-stack web development bootcamp) to focus on being a full-fledged software engineer.
Recently, I have developed several projects using React, Redux, Ruby, Rails, Javascript, jQuery, Express, SQL, MongoDB, HTML, and CSS3, showcased below.
A Facebook clone where users can make friends, edit profiles/photos, write posts/comments, and keep up with friends’ activities.
A JavaScript project simulating the gameplay mechanics of an eight-ball pool game visualized using the Canvas HTML element.
A full-stack single-page web application where users can add/view information about fish and fishing spots and track their catches.
See below for a selection of my technical skills. Check out my resume for the full list.
I'm always open to hearing about new challenges and opportunities. Drop me a note, and let's work together!
