How to Play
- Game Mechanics for Each Turn:
-
Mouse over the game area to set the aim direction of the cue stick and the speed for hitting the cue ball (proportional to length of cue stick).
-
Once direction and speed have been decided, click to shoot at the cue ball.
- Game Play Instructions:
-
Prior to marking assignment, players alternate and try to pocket pool balls until a player pockets a numbered ball (other than 8-ball).
-
Upon the first pocketed ball, players are automatically assigned a marking (striped vs. solid), noted below pool table.
-
Afterwards, each player will continue their turn if they pocket at least one ball of their respective marking without scratching or losing (see below).
-
Winning: Player wins if they first pocket all 7 balls of their respective marking (minus 8-ball), prior to pocketing the 8-ball. Player wins once 8-ball is pocketed.
-
Losing A player loses if they pocket the 8-ball any time in the game, prior to pocketing all 7 balls of their respective marking.
- Scratching Scenarios:
-
Cue ball is pocketed.
-
Cue ball hits a ball with the opponent's marking first.
-
Cue ball hits 8-ball first, when the table still has balls with the player's marking.
-
No balls with the player's marking is pocketed.
